January’s Joy Dare – capturing the gifts
Jan 1 – 3 things about myself I am grateful for ~ my love of making things, my positive attitude, my hair
Jan 2 – a gift outside, inside and on a plate ~ the sunshine, my bed (when I’m not feeling good), and honey walnut shrimp from Hoicin’s
Jan 3 – 3 lines I overhead that were graces ~ “I’m glad you are feeling better”, “if we work together, it will work out”, “thank you, that will help”
Jan 4 – one gift old, new & blue ~ my Bible (gift from 1986 graduation), pictures of Buddy & I at the beach (gift from my sister), the sky today
Jan 5 – something you’re reading, you’re making, you’re seeing ~ blog posts, jeweled cowl , paper-whites growing
Jan 6 – one thing in my bag, my fridge, my heart ~ Renew lotion from Melaleuca, yummy spinach/sausage/egg casserole, God’s peace
Jan 7 – 3 graces from people I love ~ hugs from nephews, a talk with my mom, and learning from my father
Jan 8 – a light that caught me, a reflection that surprised me, a shadow that fell lovely ~ the flash of the sunlight thru a prism, seeing the reflection of my siblings faith in their children, the Christian heritage I was raised with falling as a shadow across my life
Other thanks ~ playing peek-a-boo with toddlers, green juice (kale/ celery/cucumber/carrot/lemon), a snuggly puppy on my lap, the challenge to take new ground this year, a wonderful Revival meeting
A list of thankfuls – one by one, my goal is to list 1000, being open to seeing the many blessings and gifts from my Father above.
Visiting from Ann’s today. I love how you took Ann’s January prompts for your list. We have so many things to be thankful for, don’t we?
Thanks for visiting – EnJOY the counting!!
I’m enjoying the January Dare, too! It is amazing how opening our eyes to His blessings are transforming us! I have a snuggly puppy on the lap, too!
