snowflake quilts

These are the latest set of quilts and table runners, my Mom, sister and I  made for display at church.

The background is Yellow Brick Road and was pieced by my sister Emily of Quilt’m by Sunflower Designs. I appliqued the snowflakes raw-edge and then Emily quilted them. She did the quilting on the blue background with her long-arm machine, but said that it didn’t like the iron-on adhesive I used for the snowflakes. So she had to quilt them on her Benina sewing machine.

My Mom prep’d the backing and did the binding. It’s fun to work together on projects like this.
