my catkin

Just stopping in to show you a shawl I finished last year, it’s another one that finally got it’s picture taken. It is Catkin by Carina Spencer. I first saw it when Yarn Harlot posted about it here and here.  And I even had yarn in my stash that I could use. I had picked up two complimentary skeins back in June at a yarn shop in Santa Cruz. I don’t remember what they were, but they were nice to work with. I did run short on the lighter colored yarn, one row short. You can see on the outside row of catkins, they are not finished off like the first row. But there was nothing I could do but use the darker color instead.

I hope everyone has a good week, see you all next week…
