yarn along ~ knitted bib

I’m joining up with Ginny on her “yarn along“. I love to knit and love to read – but since I haven’t figured out how to do both at the same time – I also love Audible.

I’m moving a little slow today, I’ve been sick for the last couple days and haven’t done much of anything.

I am working on a few knitted bibs. It is a pattern I kinda made up, working from the diagonal dishcloth pattern.

I generally start with 12-15 stitches and increase until about 40 stitches, work even for about 10 rows, then start decreasing rows. After decreasing for a few rows, I knit the first 7 stitches, bind off the middle stitches, knit the last 7 stitches. Then on the next row, I knit the first 7, cast on about 40-45 (depending on how big a head/neck opening I need), knit the last 7 stitches. Then I knit about 10 rows and bind off.

I have a couple books I’ve been listening to, but wanted to list one that I read/listen to every day ~ the Bible. I have been studying the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew recently.

So what are you knitting/reading/listening to?

  1. Hope you’re feeling better soon! It seems like the ickiness is all around this time of year! That’s a great idea to use a diagonal dishcloth pattern as the base for a bib to give it a little more visual interest.

thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts...
